
Centre Notifies Appointment of Two Judicial Officers as Andhra Pradesh High Court Judges

The Central Government has notified the elevation of two judicial officers as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The announcement was made today by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, on X (formerly Twitter). The appointed judicial officers are:

Dr. Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao
Their names were proposed for elevation by the Supreme Court Collegium during its meeting on January 11. The Andhra Pradesh High Court, which has a sanctioned strength of 37 judges, has been operating with 28 judges. Following these new appointments, the Court’s strength will rise to 30 judges, leaving 7 vacancies yet to be filled.
