The Ernakulam District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has dismissed a complaint filed against a hotel in Kolenchery concerning the non-provision of complimentary gravy alongside beef fry and parotta.

The complaint was lodged by a resident of Ernakulam, who stated that during a visit to the hotel in November 2024 with a friend, they had ordered beef fry and parotta. Upon requesting gravy with the meal, they were informed by the hotel owner that gravy was not served as a complimentary item.

The Commission noted that there was no commitment from the restaurant to provide free gravy and that the establishment had not levied any additional charge for it.
