Kidnapping Case: Karnataka High Court Grants Bhavani Revanna 15-Day Entry to Mysuru and Hassan

In its earlier order dated June 7, the Court had granted interim anticipatory bail to Bhavani in connection with a kidnapping case but prohibited her from entering Hassan and KR Nagara in Mysuru district. This restriction was imposed after Special Public Prosecutor Professor Ravivarma Kumar argued that “She is the mastermind of the crime and let her not enter Hassan and KR Nagara district.”
Bhavani later sought the removal of this restriction, claiming that no similar condition was imposed on the other accused in the case. The Court scheduled a detailed consideration of her request for January 9, 2025, but in the meantime granted a temporary relaxation for 15 days starting the next day. The Court emphasized, "It is made clear that if there is violation of conditions imposed during granting bail, it will be viewed seriously.”
According to the prosecution, the complainant alleged that his mother, who had been employed by Bhavani for six years, was kidnapped by Satish Babanna on Bhavani's instructions to protect her son Prajwal. The complainant also claimed that a friend informed him about a viral video allegedly showing the sexual assault of his mother. When he requested Babanna to release her, the demand was refused.
The complaint was registered on May 2 at the KR Nagara Police Station.
