Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs Notifies Appointment of 24 Members to NCLT Principal Bench

The Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through a notification dated January 7, 2025, has announced the appointment of 24 members to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Principal Bench in New Delhi. The appointees, comprising 11 Judicial Members and 13 Technical Members, will serve a tenure of five years from the date they assume office or until they reach the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
The appointees as Judicial Members are Justice Jyotsna Sharma, Sunil Kumar Aggarwal, Nilesh Sharma, Ashish Kalia, Vinay Goel, Labh Singh, Rammurti Kushawaha, Brajendra Mani Tripathi, Sushil Mahadeorao Kochey, Mohan Prasad Tiwari, and Cheekati Radha Krishna.
The Technical Members include Reena Sinha Puri, Kavita Bhatnagar, Siddharth Mishra, Hariharan Neelakanta Iyer, Shishir Agarwal, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Radhakrishna Sreepada, Ravindra Chaturvedi, Rekha Kantilal Shah, Man Mohan Gupta, Banwari Lal Meena, Yogendra Kumar Singh, and Simmi Gupta.
As per the notification, the appointments are made under Section 408 of the Companies Act, 2013. The appointed members will receive a pay scale of ₹1,82,200 to ₹2,24,100 as per the Level 15 pay matrix of the Seventh Central Pay Commission.
The members will assume office on the date they take charge. Notable names such as Yogendra Kumar Singh and Simmi Gupta will assume charge on or after January 8 and January 22, 2025, respectively.
