Twenty-one of the thirty-three sitting judges of the Supreme Court have made their asset details public. The information was released on Monday on the official website of the top court.

The decision to publish the details follows recent allegations of corruption within the judiciary, notably the Justice Yashwant Varma controversy. In response, the full court of the Supreme Court resolved on April 1 that judges' statements of assets should be placed in the public domain. The details released yesterday are pursuant to this decision.
