Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Appointment of Two Additional Judges as Permanent Judges of Madras High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of two Additional Judges of the Madras High Court as permanent judges.
The decision was formalized in a statement issued by the Supreme Court, stating: "The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 5th February, 2025, has approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the Madras High Court”:
- Shri Justice Venkatachari Lakshminarayanan, and
- Shri Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai.
Justice Venkatachari Lakshminarayanan was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court on February 23, 2023. Justice Periyasamy Vadamalai was appointed as an Additional Judge on March 27, 2023.
